L&S Waste Management is once again supporting vulnerable people across the Portsmouth area this Christmas by providing food parcels.
The Fareham based waste firm put together 80 food parcels full of essential food items, which have been distributed at the annual Portsmouth in the Community (PITC) homeless lunch, which recently took place at Fratton Park.
L&S Waste Management Managing Director, Mick Balch said: “We have been putting together food parcels for the past few years to support local people in need, and this is the second consecutive year we have joined forces with Pompey in the Community. As an official PFC Club Partner, we are delighted to lend a hand.
“This time of year is particularly hard for those people living on the streets with nowhere to go. Although it’s only a small token, we hope we can make a difference to people who might be struggling this Christmas.”
Hospitality, Conference and Events Co-ordinator at Portsmouth Football Club, Emma Smith, said: “Thank you so much to everyone at L&S Waste for the generous donation, we really appreciate your help and the guests were extremely grateful.”
The L&S food parcels include festive treats, such as Christmas cakes and chocolates, along with other basic supplies that many people take for granted.
